In 2018, i quit my job and took the plunge ( with no prior experience whatsoever!) to venture into the Airbnb rental business.
It was a journey of more downs than ups initially but the perseverance eventually paid off.
There were many months of hard work in learning the tricks of the trade and developing our own Facebook page, management system, website, property/clients sourcing, learning Airbnb search algorithms etc.
I made dreadful mistakes and learned many valuable lessons along the way.
Two years on, we’re managing more than 50 rental units (with a 90% take up rate) at Airbnb for a variety of property owners in Malaysia. This Airbnb business offers us great work life balance, time flexibility, and of course, an attractive income.
The beauty of this is that it can even generate income for us while we are resting at night.
